Investment information can be very complex. In order to draw the right conclusions from them, an adequate presentation is necessary. Therefore, we constantly improve the reporting possibilities in zetVisions CIM – for any purpose we provide the best solution. On this page we give you an overview which is illustrated in a corresponding picture gallery of screenshots.

Reporting with Data Warehouse

zetVisions CIM provides the standard SAP BW as Data Warehouse for a comprehensive data evaluation. 

Standard reports

With this standard release, zetVisions CIM provides 48 prefabricated and immediately applicable standard reports. In projects, the customer is able to (and often does) adapt the reports to his specific needs – simply using the SAP BW know-how without the need to involve zetVisions for each step .


The reports can be differentiated roughly in four areas:

• Reports on "master data", e.g. detailed views on a company, person, location; company summary; communication details and contacts; list of sureties, auditors and mandates; addition to group / divestiture of group and much more
• Reports on "capital & investments", e.g. share ownership; number of investments; overview, functions and investments of investment funds; dividends; performance of an investment; capital and shareholder structure; capital history and much more
• Reports on "transactions", e.g. list of shareholding transactions (released, total); list of capital transactions; list of other transactions and much more
• Reports on "key performance figures & book values", e.g. acquisition costs and book values; history of key figures (period comparison); performance of other capital expenditures; list of key figures and much more

Reporting without Data Warehouse

zetVisions CIM docks to the reporting of IBM Cognos and thereby, it provides even more possibilities. Without the application of further instances (without a SAP BW installation, for instance) all information is now retrievable with the I BM Cognos tools. Leading companies from all over the world choose the IBM Cognos solutions for Business Intelligence, Business Analytics and company-wide Performance Management. We provide these companies with a direct connection from investment information in best quality to their existing Cognos tools. Likewise it is possible to purchase the Cognos connection with zetVisions CIM in order to set up an innovative reporting. By dispensing with the interposed Data Warehouse the data are reported in real time. Once a transaction is recorded or master data information of a mandate was changed, this modification is immediately available for the reports.

Organizational Charts with the zetVisions Visualizer

One of the most common visualizations of corporate investment management information, are different kinds of orga n izational charts, which depict various kinds of relations in form of nodes and connections. You are able to decide which infor mation you want to visualize in what form. For example: Mark all companies from a specific country in a different color, filter the minority shareholdings or select according to any attributes. You are not only able to display different types of quotes accord ing to shares or voting rights but you also get an overview of mandates and financial key figures.

List reports

For users in the finance or legal departments we created an easy-to-use method to get access to almost the w hole pool of information using powerful list views. By doing this, you do not need any previous IT knowledge or the support of your IT department. Define the content and the filter criteria and instantly export the created lists in your spreadsheets.

List views

zetVisions CIM benefits in many respects from the SAP technology on which it is based. Whenever displaying search results, these results are presented in so-called "ALV-grids" (automatic list viewer). These ALV-grids themselves prov ide basic functionalities such as sorting by columns and the export to spreadsheets and can be therefore also used for a fast ad-hoc-reporting.

Comparison of Performance Figures

Performance figures can be compared with each other at any due date. It is possible, for example, to contrast different companies, financial years, target/actual comparisons or booking periods. Thus, they form a meaningful basis for strategic decisions.

Management Cockpits

All information stored in zetVisions CIM can be transferred to other applications. Different technologi es like web services or flat file export are available for this and any frontend applications can be used for data evaluation or data visualization. The direct connection from Xcelsius 2008 (new: SAP Crystal Dashboard Design) to SAP BW is already possible and therefore it provides additionally comprehensive evaluation options and well-arranged, consolidated reports for the management level.
