Katharina has been working at zetVisions in Quality Assurance since April 2015.

My typical working day starts with…

… a quick look in my emails and our ticket system JIRA. Afterwards, during a cup of coffee, we discuss and prioritize the daily to-do’s with our “boss” and the other working students.

Typical challenges in my working environment are…

… accuracy is very important – whether we do large function tests of our products, testing and finding bugs or checking new features for customers. In Quality Assurance we don’t necessarily try to show that the software is working properly, but quite the contrary. Our work is very responsible in view of the fact that I might just be the last team member to look over a feature before it is delivered to the customer. Furthermore, we actively support Product Management at all times.

My highlight today was...

… the final successful test of a new feature for a customer and the solution of a difficult problem, which I solved together with another working student. You can clamp your teeth into an issue until you find a solution.

At zetVisions excites me especially…

… to have the possibility of working in an established software company besides studying and to take on many responsibilities there. I can practically implement the knowledge from my studies whereby working is also a nice diversion from studying. Especially the atmosphere within zetVisions is a highlight for me: all co-workers are always helpful and open for questions, but also good for a laugh at any time! And finally the knowledge that a part of my work is embedded in the successful products: zetVisions CIM and zetVisions SPoT.
