zetVisions employees report

Markus has been working as a developer at zetVisions since August 2007.

My typical working day starts with…

… updating of the Scrum statistics for the current sprint. The statistics help us to identify bottlenecks early in the sprint and align the remaining outstanding development work with it. Then I check the unit tests which are running daily in the night. Unit tests help us to find possible bugs in the program code at the early stage and fix them immediately. They run nightly on our development system and notify the relevant development team via e-mail in case of errors.

Typical challenges in my working environment are…

… the conceptual design and the implementation of a complex code for functional parts of zetVisions CIM. The corresponding requirements come from product management and are developed during two-weeks-sprints in a team consisting of 6-7 developers. In particular, the “translation” of these requirements into actual realizable code is often exciting. Renegotiations with product management are not excluded and occur quite often. ;-)

My highlight today was...

… the completion of a customer development task within the organization chart tool zetVisions Visualizer

At zetVisions excites me especially…

... the possibility to pursue my dream job in a casual work environment having nice colleagues. From the board to a student - we all address each other informally.
