Heidelberg, September 27, 2023 - Heidelberg-based zetVisions GmbH is expanding its offering to include on-premises rental models with immediate effect. These are available to both existing and new customers. Existing customers can switch to the rental model or operate their zetVisions software solutions in hybrid mode, i.e. a mix of purchasing and renting licenses; new customers can choose between purchasing and renting.
"With the rental models, we want to offer customers more flexibility and control over their software applications and consolidate our position as a leading provider of solutions for corporate data management," says Christian Sohn, CEO of zetVisions, explaining the strategic expansion of the offering. The introduction of the rental models marks a further step in the transformation of zetVisions into a SaaS company.
The on-premises rental models offer customers a range of benefits:

Switching from a purchased license model to a rental model can mean a shift for companies from spending on long-term investments in assets (CapEx) to spending on day-to-day operations (OpEx). By moving from buying to renting, and therefore from one-off upfront payments to regular rental fees, initial capital expenditure is reduced and costs are better aligned with actual usage. By reducing capital expenditure, companies can minimize their financing risk and reduce working capital, leaving more cash available.
